Tazorac is a prescription acne treatment based on the idea of retinoids and their treatment using the idea of basically shedding away dead skin cells at an accelerated rate. These forms of vitamin A are numerous and come in different forms, and Tazorac just uses one of them to clear away mild to moderate acne for the most part.
Pros
Tazorac has a proven ingredient. Obviously, to be a prescription, it has to. It has proven amounts of a form of vitamin A essentially speaking that has been manipulated to show greater results for some individuals in general.
Cons
It comes with quite a few side effects such as redness, irritation, peeling, dryness, and otherwise. However, it does not necessarily come with results. Some have reported their acne actually getting noticeably worse with no cessation in a period of several months of use.
Summary
We would not recommend using this product. It doesn’t have the results you are looking for, and it can be quite detrimental to the skin in general. Tazorac is a prescription. But it’s controlled because it has those kinds of side effects, not because it is so effective. That is a common misconception, but it can be easily dispelled.
